SR20FF is
an asbestos based flexible moulded non-metallic
friction material having a random fiber asbestos
base. It has medium coefficient of friction combined
with high degree of flexibility and adequate
physical strength. SR20 is silent in operation, has
good resistance to both fade and wear and is
particularly suitable for bonding purposes.
Applications
SR20
is recommended for use in medium to heavy duty
brakes of passenger cars and light commercial
vehicles and for all industrial/off highway
brake applications.

Bonding
SR20
may be bonded with any of the established
bonding adhesives although for best results
thermosetting adhesives should be used. SR20 is
supplied ground on both surfaces and may be
bonded on either side as required.
Recommended Mating Surface
For
best performances use good quality, fine grained
pearlitic cast iron or forged/cold rolled steel
as mating surface with a brinell hardness of
200-230. Cast steel is not suitable as a mating
surface.
